Viking's exclusive Therm-alloy 7-ply material sandwiches multiple layers of aluminum between a polished 18/10 stainless steel interior and a brushed 18/10 stainless steel exterior. Stainless steel is nonreactive, stick-resistant, and easy to clean. Aluminum heats quickly and evenly for greater control and more efficient cooking, even at lower heat settings. The handles are constructed of stainless steel and secured with stainless steel rivets. The lids are brushed stainless steel with a slightly domed shape. A precision seal on the rim locks in moisture. Viking Cookware is perfect for all types of cooktops—gas, electric, halogen, ceramic, and induction (pots have a layer of "magnetic" stainless steel). The pots are oven and broiler safe. Although the pots and pans are dishwasher safe, hand washing is recommended.
